Moral Injury Recovery in the Aftermath of COVID

The Shay Moral Injury Center at Volunteers of America is offering a one-day course in moral injury recovery in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Even as the cases of COVID recedes with vaccine availability, emotional and psychological fallout will continue to emerge months--maybe even years--from now.

This course is designed for chaplains, clergy, religious and spiritual care providers to offer moral injury and distress recovery care to their communities. According to Senior Vice President and Director of Shay Moral Injury Center, Dr. Rita Nakashima Brock, "The first 3 hours of the course are designed to give the participants a chance to process their own moral distress and moral injury and get hands-on experience in how a recovery strategy works."

There are four dates available: June 26, June 28, July 7, and July 9. A slide scale is offered for interested participants. For more information and to register, please visit https://shay-moral-injury-center.teachable.com/p/home.
